If we knew where you wre located that would help people find you to help out.

Drills are hard to convey in writing.... Footwork is your most important place to start. Follow that up by working on disengae to a thrust with blade opposition. Then disengage to a thrust and being counterthrust with balde opposition.

Then try feint with a thrust, parry the thrust, disengage to a cut with opposition. Then do the same drill and countercut the final action.

Your best et would be to corner a couple of us at an event. There will be a bunch of us at Long and Short of It Tourny.

Liam, I tried to send something via the site's email but it appears to be glitching at the moment.  Drop me an email at mrprez2012@comcast.net and I'll forward you a link to something you might find useful.

I would also recommend William E Wilsons book on beginning rapier - it's cheap and a good source of basic instruction.

I'll echo Kristophe here.  William Wilson's book is an excellent resource.

Liam... I'll see if I can find my spare copy of the Wilson book... and send it up with some digrassi and fabris handouts I've received from classes I've attended...PM me on the Manticore forum.

And Kristophe...are you going to Homecoming?

"And Kristophe...are you going to Homecoming?"

I'm hoping to, at least for the Saturday.  It'll be my first event in about 6 years so we'll see who I recognize.
